Triumphant Light: Arceus ex headlines a radiant mini expansion

The Alpha Pokémon arrives alongside Garchomp ex and new Sinnoh favorites

Triumphant Light is here, and it brought the Alpha Pokémon with it. The mini expansion launched on February 28, 2025, adding 75 unique cards (96 total including alternate rarities) to Pokémon TCG Pocket—headlined by the mythical Arceus ex.

Arceus ex takes center stage

The star of Triumphant Light is unmistakably Arceus ex. As the Pokémon said to have shaped the entire universe, Arceus arrives in Pokémon TCG Pocket as a powerful Colorless-type ex card. It's joined by Garchomp ex, the pseudo-legendary Dragon/Ground-type that has been a competitive staple since Generation IV, and Leafeon ex and Glaceon ex, giving Eevee fans two more Eeveelution ex cards to chase.

More Sinnoh stars

Beyond the headliners, Triumphant Light rounds out its roster with fan favorites from the Sinnoh region. Probopass ex makes a surprising appearance as a solid defensive option, while evolution lines like Mothim, Vespiquen, Cherrim, and others fill out the Grass, Water, and Fighting slots. The set may be compact at 75 unique cards, but it packs meaningful variety for both collectors and deck builders.

A mini expansion with big impact

As the first mini expansion following Space-Time Smackdown, Triumphant Light follows the same model established by Mythical Island—a focused, single-booster-pack release that deepens the card pool without overwhelming players. The addition of Arceus ex alone makes this set a must-open for collectors, and the new Eeveelution ex cards give battlers fresh options to experiment with.

Why it matters

Triumphant Light bridges the gap between Space-Time Smackdown and the next major expansion. It proves that Pokémon TCG Pocket's mini expansion cadence works: smaller sets keep the meta fresh, give collectors new chase cards, and arrive frequently enough that there's always something new to look forward to. If you haven't pulled your Arceus ex yet, now's the time to start opening packs.
