Mega Diancie ex and Mega Gardevoir ex Deck Guide in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Flood the board with Psychic Energy through Fantasia Force and let Brilliant Storm convert it into 200 damage swings
This is the flashiest list from the newest set: a pure Psychic Energy flood. Mega Gardevoir ex attacks for 110 while attaching 3
พลังจิต Energy from your Energy Zone every turn, and Mega Diancie ex cashes in every one of those Energy with Brilliant Storm, which grows past 200 damage on a developed board. The win condition is simple: ramp with Gardevoir until Diancie one-shots whatever the opponent presents.
The decklist
How it works
Mega Gardevoir ex is the engine, a 210 HP Stage 2 whose Fantasia Force costs
พลังจิต and deals 110 damage while taking 3
พลังจิต Energy from your Energy Zone and attaching them to
your
พลังจิต Pokémon in any way you like. That is the
entire economy of the deck: every swing threatens anything at 110 HP or less
and invests three Energy into your next attacker at the same time. Send most
of those Energy to a benched Mega Diancie ex, because each one raises
Brilliant Storm by 20. The catch is that Mega Gardevoir ex is a Mega ex worth
3 points, so the game ends on the spot if it goes down, and its weakness to
ความมืด hands those decks 20 extra damage per hit.
Mega Diancie ex is the payoff, a 170 HP Basic whose Brilliant Storm costs
ไร้สี and deals 40 damage plus 20 more for each
พลังจิต Energy attached to all of your Pokémon, its own
included. Six Psychic Energy across the board makes 160, and eight makes 200,
enough to remove a fresh Mega Gardevoir ex or Mega Sceptile ex in one attack.
Because the cost is pure
ไร้สี, one Fantasia Force can
charge it from empty. Its weakness to
โลหะ rarely matters
in the current field, but remember it is also a Mega ex: losing it gives the
opponent 3 points and the game.
Rare Candy makes a Stage 2 attacker playable in a 20 card deck. It evolves a
Ralts in play directly into Mega Gardevoir ex, skipping Kirlia entirely,
though it cannot be used on your first turn or on a Ralts that entered play
that same turn. Going second, a turn one Ralts becomes a turn two Mega
Gardevoir ex that immediately attacks for 110 and starts the Energy flood. The
deck still runs two Kirlia because Rare Candy does not always arrive, and an
80 HP Smack attacker for
พลังจิต
ไร้สี at 30 damage at least trades up into small
Basics while you dig.
The support shell finds the right Pokémon on time. Poké Ball pulls a random Basic from the deck, always Ralts or Mega Diancie ex here, and Pokémon Communication trades a redundant Pokémon in hand for a random one from the deck, converting a spare Ralts into the missing Mega Gardevoir ex. Professor's Research draws 2 cards. Potion heals 20, which matters most on Mega Gardevoir ex, where it can push a two-hit knockout into three and buy one more Fantasia Force.
Matchups
| Matchup | Favorability | How to play it |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Lucario ex and Lucario | Favored | Their damage builds in slow 20 point steps from Fighting Coach, and nothing in the deck removes a 210 HP Mega Gardevoir ex quickly. Ramp freely, heal with Potion to break their two-hit math, and remember a single Brilliant Storm knockout on Mega Lucario ex scores 3 points and ends the game. |
| Suicune ex and Baxcalibur | Even | A race between two ramp engines, and whoever lands the first big knockout usually takes the game. Do not pass up a turn two Fantasia Force, and load Mega Diancie ex early so Brilliant Storm reaches 160 or more before their board comes online. |
| Mega Altaria ex and Espeon | Even | A tempo fight between Psychic decks with no weakness on either side. Their pressure arrives earlier, so use Sabrina to drag a half-charged piece into the Active Spot and buy a turn, then close with Brilliant Storm, since knocking out Mega Altaria ex alone is worth 3 points. |
| Miraidon ex and Magnezone | Unfavored | Their Energy acceleration lands big attacks while you are still on a 60 HP Ralts. Race to the fastest possible Mega Gardevoir ex, keep a second Ralts benched as insurance, and accept trading Kirlia early to protect the pieces that matter. |
| Chien-Pao ex and Baxcalibur | Unfavored | Bench sniping picks off Ralts and Kirlia before they ever evolve, which starves the whole engine. Bench both Ralts so one snipe does not end your setup, lead with Mega Diancie ex as a 170 HP wall, and Rare Candy the survivor the moment it is legal. |
| Mega Sableye ex and Greninja | Heavily unfavored | Ralts, Kirlia, and Mega Gardevoir ex are all weak to |
Tech options and swaps
The single copies are the flex slots. Giant Cape adds 20 HP and usually belongs on Mega Gardevoir ex, making it a 230 HP wall, though a 190 HP Mega Diancie ex is the better carrier against
ความมืด decks. Sabrina shoves the opponent's charged Active to the Bench and is your only disruption, so a second copy is the first upgrade if your ladder is full of single-attacker decks. Trimming a Potion is reasonable if you lose to raw aggression rather than attrition, but the healing is what keeps Mega Gardevoir ex alive long enough to matter.
How to pilot it
- Setup: register
พลังจิต as your only Energy type. Both Fantasia Force and every attachment that feeds Brilliant Storm depend on the Energy Zone producing nothing else. - Turn one: play Ralts to the Active Spot and, if possible, a second Ralts or Mega Diancie ex to the Bench. Going first you get no Energy from the Energy Zone this turn, so dig with Poké Ball and Professor's Research; going second, attach to Ralts immediately.
- Early turns: the dream curve going second is turn one Ralts with an Energy, turn two Rare Candy into Mega Gardevoir ex, second attachment, and a 110 damage Fantasia Force. Without Rare Candy, evolve through Kirlia and stall with 30 damage Smacks.
- Midgame: aim most Fantasia Force Energy at the benched Mega Diancie ex. After two swings plus manual attachments the board holds eight or nine Psychic Energy, putting Brilliant Storm at 200 or 220.
- Closing: you need 3 points, and their Mega ex or two ex knockouts get you there fastest. Promote Mega Diancie ex once it can one-shot the biggest threat, and use Sabrina to pull that threat into the Active Spot on your terms.
- Misplays to avoid: dumping every Energy onto Mega Gardevoir ex, which dies with them; using Rare Candy on a Ralts played that same turn, which the card forbids; and benching only one Ralts against snipe decks.
Deck strengths
- Fantasia Force is attack and ramp in one, banking 3 Energy per turn while still hitting for 110
- Brilliant Storm has one of the highest realistic ceilings in the format, reaching 200 or more on a developed board
- Mega Diancie ex is a 170 HP Basic that needs zero setup cards, so it is always a legal fallback attacker
- 210 HP on Mega Gardevoir ex outlasts most attackers, and Potion plus Giant Cape stretch that further
- The two attackers cover each other: Gardevoir builds the board while it fights, Diancie spends it
Deck weaknesses
- Both attackers are Mega ex worth 3 points, so a single knockout on either one loses the game outright
- Everything runs through a 60 HP Ralts; fast or sniping decks that remove it early win before the deck exists
- No early aggression at all, so the tempo lead is conceded in nearly every game
- The Gardevoir line's
ความมืด weakness gives a popular attacking type 20 free damage every hit
Is it worth building?
Yes, if you enjoy setup decks and accept real variance. The cost is steep, with two copies each of two different Mega ex cards, and the games where Ralts dies on turn two feel unwinnable. But when the curve connects, no deck in the format produces bigger numbers. Pilots who like counting Energy across the whole board and planning two turns ahead will get the most out of it; players who want pressure from turn one should look elsewhere.
